Subsidy projects

Several projects carried out by JULI Motorenwerk have been supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Industry of the Czech Republic. With the help of these investments we increase the utility value of electric rotary machines and the competitiveness of the company on the world market of electric machines for handling technology.

Projects funded by the EU:

Innovation 2011

  • The Innovation investment project, which aimed to build a new centre for the production of motors with a new type of winding. The goal was successfully completed and since then the production centre has already produced several tens of thousands of new motors.
  • The total investment amount was CZK 62,777,587. European Union to the amount of 25% of the investment amount.
  • Project registration number: 4.1 INO4/721

Innovation 2015

  • The Innovation investment project, which aimed to build production centers for a new generation of high precision electric motors and rotor centers for the automated production of rotors of synchronous reluctance motors. Both these plans were fully carried out and the machines are already serving their purpose.
  • The total investment amount was CZK 71,733,800. European Union to the amount of 25% of the investment amount.
  • Project registration number: CZ.01.1.02/0.0/0.0/15_014/0000710

Potential 2011

  • The Potential investment project was focused on the construction of a new testing centre for testing prototype motors and drive units. Thanks to this project we are now able to subject whole drive units for warehouse trucks to category and lifetime tests.
  • The second part of the testing centre was focused on the construction of workplaces designed for lifetime tests of asynchronous and synchronous machines. Within this project the company’s ability to measure noise and vibration levels has also been significantly strengthened.
  • The total investment amount was CZK 82,524,049. European Union to the amount of 25% of the investment amount.
  • Project registration number: 4.2 PT03/242

Projects funded by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic:

IMPULSE 2006 – Project FI-IM3/153

  • Within the Impulse programme a research project “Low-cost lift drive with switched reluctance motor” was undertaken between 2006-2009. The project was carried out in cooperation with Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication. During the project a sample of a two-phase switched reluctance motor, including a power invertor, was assembled. The project was successfully completed and defended in an opposition proceeding and evaluated as “Successful according to given parameters”.
  • The total approved costs of the project were CZK 11.63m out of which the subsidy of the provider (Ministry of the Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic) was to the amount of CZK 4.009m. CZK.

TANDEM 2006 – Project FT-TA3/120

  • Within the Tandem programme a research project “Direct drive of a warehouse truck“ was undertaken between 2006-2010. The project was carried out in cooperation with Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication. During the project the possibility of a direct drive unit of a small warehouse truck was thoroughly analysed and two operational samples, including power invertors, were assembled. The conclusions of the project were very important to further research and development of the company in the following years. The project was successfully completed and defended in an opposition proceeding and evaluated as “Outstanding”.
  • The total approved funds of the project were CZK 19.565m, out of which a subsidy of the provider (Ministry of the Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic) was to the amount of CZK 10.725m. CZK.

TIP 2010 – Project FR-TI4/675

  • Several projects carried out by JULI Motorenwerk have been supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Industry of the Czech Republic. With the help of these investments we increase the utility value of electric rotary machines and the competitiveness of the company on the world market of electric machines for handling technology. The project was carried out in cooperation with Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication. During the project a possible use of synchronous motors with fractional slot winding was proposed as a generator or motorgenerator for trucks with combustion engines, as a drive motor in warehouse trucks or as a pump motor in integrated hydraulic unit. During the completion of the project several prototype motors were assembled, including two supply invertors, on which the gained theoretical data was subsequently verified. The project was successfully completed and defended in an opposition proceeding and evaluated as “Outstanding”.
  • The total approved funds of the project were CZK 23.629m, out of which a subsidy of the provider (Ministry of the Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic) was to the amount of CZK 12.927m. CZK.
