Ethical code
The aforementioned text is a summary of the most important information contained in the internal Code of Compliance of JULI Motorenwerk, s.r.o. and FUJIAN JULI Motor Co. (Ltd).
Preamble:
We are obliged to act in accordance with applicable laws in all business activities and have implemented internal regulations focused on compliance with these laws.
We expect all our employees to act in accordance with applicable laws and internal regulations.
We expect our business partners to do the same. For this reason we maintain business relationships only with those partners who recognize similar objectives and principles in their business relationships.
Corruption prevention
We will do anything possible to prevent corruption in our sphere of influence and we will constantly and efficiently fight against corruption. This also includes keeping accurate company accounts and records to document compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Dealings with public officials
We do not seek to influence public officials, in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations, directly or by means of third parties.
Conduct in business transactions
We do not seek to influence employees of other companies, directly or by means of third parties, to facilitate the completion of business transactions on the basis of offers, promises or providing personal advantage, such as money or any other type of advantage, including gifts and services for specific employees.
We will not demand, approve or accept any personal advantage, such as money or any other type of advantage, including gifts or services from third parties, to facilitate business in relation to third parties. This does not include appropriate gifts, invitations or other courtesies which are typical for a specific country.
Due care for integrity
We will choose all advisers, agents, sellers, consultants and other mediators according to relevant criteria and will ensure their behaviour is in compliance with this Code of Conduct in order to prevent corruption by any party involved.
Employment conditions
We try to ensure the ethical conduct of our employees, as stipulated by international codes and conventions on human rights.
Discrimination
We will not tolerate any kind of discrimination between employees based on gender, racial or ethnical origin, religion or world view, age or sexual orientation. Our employees will not be subjected to sexual harassment or any other forms of intimidation. We reject any kind of forced labour. We recognize the right of employees to found representative bodies or to join a trade union. Members of these representative bodies or trade unions shall not be disadvantaged or dismissed without valid legal grounds.
Child labour
We will comply with the United Nations conventions on children’s rights. If national regulations contain stricter provisions, we favour complying with these stricter provisions.
Health and safety
We comply with applicable laws and regulations to ensure safe and healthy working conditions for our employees. We will monitor these facts via regular checks and assessments of the health and safety conditions in our company.
Antitrust laws and free competition
We agree to abide by the principles of free and fair competition and therefore we will comply with all applicable provisions of antitrust and other laws and regulations and legal provisions of a given country, as well as any other relevant international regulations. We do not participate in any agreement with competitors which would violate the provisions of such antitrust laws. We do not exchange sensitive information and thus we do not violate the provisions of antitrust laws and at the same time we do not take advantage of a dominant position in the market which we may hold.
Data protection and confidentiality
We agree to abide by all applicable laws and regulations related to personal data protection (especially that of employees, business partners and customers). Confidentiality is always mandatory for all obligations arising from contracts with parent companies and with our business partners.
Money laundering
We will use appropriate organizational measures in our company to prevent money laundering.
Environment
We will abide by all corresponding laws and regulations related to the environment. We will try to evaluate and minimize negative effects on the environment and make optimal use of natural resources. We will systematically and continuously evaluate and improve our performance in this area. We will improve the awareness of our employees through appropriate training sessions and programmes.
